Recently we upgraded our OS from Windows 98 SE to Windowx XP Pro w/ SP2
and we had a version of Miscosoft Office 2000 Small Business edition
installed on our PC. Prior to the upgrade Misrosoft Access worked just
fine. Now when I try to start Microsoft Access I ge the following
message: Can't find the database you specified, or you didn't specify a
database at all. Specify a valid database name in the command line &
include a path if necessary.

Now I have also checked the Micorsoft knowledge database (235279) and
that did not resolve the problem. Can anyone help me out?

If you performed an in-place upgrade from an earlier edition of
Windows, and Office was already installed, you'll likely have to repair
or reinstall it, so it can add the necessary additional functions needed
for use on a multi-user OS. It may be sufficient to simply insert the
respective installation CD and select the "Detect and Repair" option.

Bruce,

I tried all of that already and that did not fix the problem. I eve
disabled my Norton prior to re-installing Office, thinking Norton was th
problem but that didn't help.

Not sure if I just need to upgrade to the latest version of Microsof
Office for Small Business or try something else. At this point I a
willing to try anything
