Need to buy 20 mice for some computers (Windows XP
Professional) at work. Found three packs of Microsoft mice
(Microsoft #N71-00007) for sale at various places over the
internet. Being OEM mice, except for barebones packaging
and possibly little or no instructions, is there anything
else about these mice I should be aware of? I had been
under the impression that Microsoft only sold their OEM
hardware to commercial computer builders, but since I found
them for sale at places like TigerDirect, I guess I was
wrong.

Just buy three (one three pack) from a vendor and see if there are any
problems. If not then buy they remaining quantity.

Actually, I made a slight mistake in my original post, I meant Direct Dial, not Tiger
Direct. I have purchased online before, and have always bought from well known
companies. Thanks for the link about Tiger Direct, I'll keep that in mind if in the
future I'm tempted to buy anything from them.

That's a good idea, and I had thought about doing that. But I really need
to get them right away, and also, unless shipping was free it'd probably
end up costing more doing it that way.

As for dangers, I wouldn't worry about Microsoft Mice. Just sleasy
vendors (tigerDirect is on the sleazy side) . The lack of instructions
shouldn't be an obsticle, after all, they're mice, just plug in and go.
