Microsoft No Help

I hope you didn't have to pay him. I figured they would
be helping more on this issue. It's amazing how little
information there is about this. Right now I'm working on
doing an Authoritative restore. I just have to wait for
the other guys I'm working with to come up with the
password to get in to do the restore. If you give it a
try let me know how it goes.

David I just replied to your earlier post. Please respond there, and let's
see what we can get going in this lab.

Well, I finally restored the AD. What backup software are
you using? I found out that if you setup the basic win2k
server with patches, boot up into win2k in normal mode and
then do a restore, it gives you less problems during the
bootup than if you run the restore in the authoritative or
non-authoritative mode. Currently, I'm trying to remove
all the other DCs that are not in the test environment,
and I'm running into errors when using the metadata
command in the ntdsutil.
