How can I get rid of the very annoying pop up message from
Microsoft Networks touting a security bulletin MS03-043?

Following the link takes you to a sell site that costs
19.95 for the magic cure down load. I don't want the
download and I really don't want the continuous pop up
message.

All suggestions will be appreciated.

Install a firewall.
The popup is a symptom that your computer is exposing rather more of itself
to the Internet than it can do so and remain decent!

The easiest way to deal with this is to install and use a firewall.

Some people may suggest turning off the messenger service. Now this will
stop the popup appearing true, but in this case the popup should be thought
of as being like a smoke detector in a house - if your smoke detector goes
off at night do you curse it and pry out the batteries to stop it sounding,
or do you go and check to see if maybe, just maybe, it was warning you of a
fire?
