Last Friday I turned my computer on and, after some
research, found out that services.exe, WINhelp.exe and
IEXPLORER.exe
in Task Manager were using approximately 33 percent of CPU
time each (100 percent useage). I later checked the
services that were running and found that I had an error
starting Microsoft NetWare Firewall Services, the error
indicated that this service could not connect. I'm not
sure if these are related; however, a google search and a
microsoft.com search for Microsoft NetWare Firewall
Service does not bring anything up to read.
I have not knowingly installed a firewall and I have not
installed Microsoft NetWare Firewall Service. I have
disbaled the service, but it still tries to start and logs
an error message with the event log.
I have an AMD 2000XP, WIndows 2000 SPK4, 256 MD DDR,
Radeon 7500 video card, onboard sound, LAN and USB>
