Don't know where else to ask. Trying to do some housekeeping.
System uses: XP Home, SP2,
Do I need this software (Microsoft .Net Framework, and more, see below) on
my XP Home system?
I am a home user, and use my computer simply to, well, do home type stuff:
send email, make reports using WordPerfect and the like, watch an occasional
movie from iTunes, etc. surf the Internet.
I am NOT a developer and have noticed loads of software of this type in my
add/ remove program section within control panel.
Various versions of Microsoft .Net Framework, starting from version 1.0;
1.1, 2.0, 3.0 with
hotfixes and the like.
And, Microsoft User Mode Driver Framework Feature pack 1.5,
and
I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable,
Don't know how they wound up on my system.
These various software's take up about 200MB+ in all,
as shown on Add / Remove,
and I just wonder if I can delete the whole Microsoft.Net framework section
and Microsoft User Mode Driver Framework and the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005
with no negative ramifications to my system.
Thanks in advance,
Robert.
