Microsoft needs to close...

I keep on getting a message that says:"Microsoft has
encountered a problem and needs to close"...everytime I
try to play my avi files...I d/l anime from animesuki
with bit torrent and when i try to get to those files, I
get that message. I can't open them or rename them...Can
ANYONE please help?!?!?! Thanks
 
OHH another thing...I keep this files in my D drive,
recently had problems with the RPC thingy and the files
are not all avi's...
