more information from my original post: all the
multimedia keys work correctly UNTIL i hit +vol or -vol.
once that is pressed the my documents, my pictures, my
music, play, stop, and forward/back buttons cease to
work, and the onscreen volume and scroll lock
notifications stop (the mute button will make the volume
show up until the vol keys are pressed).
Have you installed the Microsoft Software included with the keyboard?
