Hi,

I have been trying to start Microsoft Money 99 on my system running XP Pro.
When it begins I get an error box telling me the program cannot a new "My
Money.mny" file.
When I click OK, I am also told that the program does not have enough memory
available. I have 192 mg of ram and when I start Money, not other programs
are open.

Is Money 99 suposed to work with XP?

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

Best to discuss this on the newsgroup specialising in Money ... there
are more than a few which are country-specific. The general one is
microsoft.public.money. If you search the old postings you may find
where this question asked and answered. Via Google, see
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=microsoft.public.money&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search

That being said, ...

No reason Money 99 won't work in XP.

- 192 mb is not a lot of memory for XP plus applications. Money is a
very large and memory-hungry application. I used 2002 and 2003, and
don't know Money 99 but it probably is not small.

The problem "can't find" is because it can't find the file. Locate
exactly where your *.mny file is (using Search if necessary), then in
File Open command, open int.

Sounds like a re-install is in order.
I'm running both Money2000 & Money95 (installed into different locations, of
course) with no problems.

I search for any ".mny" files, but I dont get any results. I am aware that
192 isnt much memory, but I can run some big games with not many problems.
Maybe a re-install is the answer. If only I could find the disk!
