Microsoft Messenger

I have been using this with no problems, but it now gives me a message
saying signing in failed as the server is temporarily unavailable..........I
think 2 days unavailability is unlikely especially as the site is reporting
no problems.

I thought it might be Windows messenger issue so also installed the MSN
messenger....same message with 0x80004005 added.

The only change to my PC was installing Norton Internet Security 2004 (very
irritating program) for the firewall and my anti-virus was about to run out.
I had Norton anti-virus 2002 in already, so now updated. Thought it might be
this, so uninstalled it, but still did not work.....

Any ideas??
