Bill Gates will announce the launch of Windows Marketplace on October 12th
at the Experience More launch in Los Angeles.

I see no mention of a *shipping* stand-alone DVD player with WMV playback.
Nor the promised HighMAT spec for DVDs; in fact the HighMAT website doesn't
look like it has changed in over six months.
