Hello at all!
I have one old server running windows NT 4.0 with microsoft mail for
local message service.
Now i need to extend this message service to 4 office outside my lan,
they are connected via ADSL to central office.
Now i should do a nat on my firewall of the server where mail service
is running, but with microsoft mail "NT 4 version" this is not
possible. There is another way? With Exchange is possible?
many thans in advance for any suggestion!
Bye

Look into Exchange 2003 and RPC over HTTP for your remote clients (they'll
need WinXP SP1 or SP2 and Outlook 2003 for that). I don't know what the
relationship is between your central office and these other offices, but if
you use AD, you can have a single domain with five sites/subnets configured.
Have a DC in each site if so.

MS Mail is loooong since out of support and wasn't that great to begin with,
honestly.
