Microsoft Mail and Outlook 2002

I hate to even ask this, but I have a client that wants
to see if Outlook 2002 will interface with a Microsoft
Mail post office? I can't seem to find an answer.
 
Outlook 2002 no longer officially supports Microsoft Mail, but there's a
workaround listed here:
