I need this hotfix, but it is not available to download. How can I get
it?

"Access Violation (0xC0000005 exception)" error message. Occurs
whenever I quit Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106. On Win XP
home edition. This happens on every window, so if you close a popup or
anything like it, the whole session must close. I contacted HP and
they don't have it. They said to reinstall IE. I tried, but it hangs
after the download. During the install portion, it craps out for not
passing Windows Logo testing (no joke) at about 8% and won't complete
the install. I'm stuck

The fix in KB835182 is a very outdated version of MSHTML.DLL. I suggest
visiting Windows Update to install all critical updates identified. One of
'em will give you the latest version of MSHTML.DLL which *might* fix your
problem.

Robear,
The problem seems to have went away for now (?). So I'm
not going to pursue it at the moment. I have been current on the
updates. I will keep this message for future reference. I appreciate
your help.

Thanks,
Mike
