After finding an entry using the Find feature (binoculars), the following
message occurs:

TheMicrosoft Jet DB engine stopped the process because you and another user
are atttempting to change the same data at the same fime.
This message comes up each time I try to update records using the Find
feature.

Explicitly save the record before you open the Find dialog.
You can do that with Shift+Enter, or by choosing Save Record on the Records
menu.

Post back if that does not solve the problem.

Thanks again for replying. Do I have to Save (Shift and Enter) each one I
intend to update before using the Find feature?

If the record is dirty, it has to be saved before Access can move to another
one. If there is some reason the record cannot be saved (such as a required
field missing), then the Find operation will fail because the previous
operation (saving) did not work.

If you show the Record Selector (grey bar at left of records), its icon
changes from a triangle to a pencil if the record is dirty (needs saving).
You can avoid many concurrency issues by explicitly saving before you try to
move, filter, sort, search, open another form with the same record, etc.

Thanks again for your reply. Your answer seems to assume that I am working
in the table. I am working in the Form view. What I do is click in one of
the fields then press the Find button (binoculars). Then this takes me to
my record. Do I have to still save the record?
Also, your reply to my command buttons issue worked great. I just fixed my
problem.
