Microsoft Installer keeps running install prompt in MS Outlook.

Everytime I log into MS Outlook MS installer keeps trying
to install something. It keeps running through the install
prompt, completes the install then runs it again. Has
anyone ever seen this before and if so how do I stop this.

I just had something similar. Under Win XP, I went into
administrative options/services, and changed the properties on
windows installer to manual. That fixed the problem here.
 
What about if the Windows Installer keeps running install prompt in Windows 98
I'm running Windows 98 and I use Office 2000, including Outlook 2000, and the computer constantly asks me to put in the CD to install components from Outlook 2002. I don't use Outlook 2002! Hmmmm.
