Where can I download the free Microsoft Help Workshop to create .hlp files?
(not Microsoft HTML Workshop, which produces *.chm help files)

Wrong one-I was looking for the Microsoft Help Workshop download-the one
that makes .hlp files, not the html workshop one which makes .chm files.

I was looking for Microsoft Help Workshop (this one produces *.hlp
files) -not Microsoft HTML Help Workshop

Rather than muck about at Microsoft, go get it here. You might want the help
maker program too.

I was disappointed in the old Microsoft help workshop. It produces a nice
file but at the expense of a lot of learning. It's far from user friendly.
HTML help is a breeze and simply requires you to browse for your pre-made
webpages and let the program compile them into your help file. It has nicer
menus and you can insert a wide variety of graphic types.
