RobbL said:Hi Robin...I have not seen a thing about SP3 show up on any of my
systems...I did the SP3 manual install early on and am surprised [and a
little disappointed] that the final SP3 version, whatever that may be,
has never been offered. Go figure.

Bill Sanderson said:If you have a non-final SP3 version installed, I would strongly recommend
removing that version and installing the final.
Alternatively, you may be able to install the final over the version in
place, if that version is late enough in the development process.
Are you getting current updates offered via WU/MU/AU?
Specifically--did you get the June and July series of security updates?

RobbL said:NO KIDDING??? I need to go through a complete uninstall/reinstall again???
This will make 3 times dealing with this update, but I suppose you are
correct....I'll just have to do it.
Before I spend the next two days working through it, however, how do I
find out if I really HAVE to do it? Is there a way to check my
'installed' version?
Yes, I am getting all the other WU/MU/AU updates, just no SP3 which I have
been looking for...I did get the June and July series of security updates
for sure. Thanks again, Bill.

Alan said:Hello Robb,
To check if you have SOME version of XP3, click Start | Run, type in
"Winver" (without the quote marks) and press Enter.
To check to see if you have the RTM build of SP3, open the Windows folder
and check Properties of the Regedit.exe file. If the final numbers are
5512, then you're using the final build.
