I have a Pentium-S CPU 133MHz with Windows 98 operating
system. Windows 98 is essential as I use a DOS programme
for a major work.
Yesterday I purchased FrontPage Version 2002 and proceeded
to install. It came up with Office XP - newer windows
system components not detected on your computer - core
system and data access components. If I proceed with
System Files Update Setup will it affect my current
operation - which is networked?
Many thanks
Sue

Probably not, but if you really have a DOS program so
picky that won't run on Windows 2000 or Windows XP, all
bets are off.

I have successfully run FP2002 on Win98, along with Paradox 3.5 and Xtalk,
which are DOS applications that will not run on any 32 bit version of
Windows.
I do not think your DOS application will be affected.
