I inserted a photo gallery into a new page and I received the following
error: "To save this page and photo gallery, open a FrontPage based web
site, and save the page to that"

I have tried numerous ways to save it, this is an existing webpage...any
help is sure appreciated!!!

But is the page part of a FrontPage web? Most of the features of FrontPage
can't be used if it's just a single page sitting by itself. FP needs a
logical file group in order to add certain features, same as many other
editors. You can create an empty web in FP and import your existing page
into it using the File | Import. Then you should open the web first, then
the page to edit, giving you the ability to create things such as a photo
gallery. The FP web is an important piece because the page will use files
outside of itself and FP needs to understand what the directory structure
is, what files are there, where to put the new photo gallery files, etc.
