clue what this is. shoud he remove it and download it all again?

Which version of Flight Simulator is it? You say this is a download?
Or does he use the original CD/DVD?

Hi Katy,
The Simulator is Microsoft flight simulator Duluxe Edition. Its not a
download, I meant to say should he remove it and put it back on. Yes he does
use the DVD.

I presume it is Flight Simulator X? Trying to un-install and
re-install might help...

I have a related but different problem.

I just purchased FSX Deluxe Edition, but am having difficulty installing the
program. When I insert the DVD into the DVD drive, all I see is a Readme.txt
file with the following statement, "This disc contains a "UDF" file system
and requires an operating system
that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification."

This is as far as I can get. I have checked my system with the
fsinsider.com website and it returns that my computer far surpasses the
minimum requirements to install and run the game. Can anyone help?

UDF is a file format for CD/DVDs, as I recall it has something to do with
either your CD-ROM drivers are not running correctly, or your DVD drive on
your computer is not compatible with UDF formatted DVDs.

Which OS are you running? What is the make and model of your DVD drive (go
into Device Manager and find the DVD drive, it should say the make and model
of the drive).

You should start a "new" topic when you post to usenet, even if the problem
is related that way you appear at the top of the list, instead of burried
deep in the newsgroup.
