Microsoft have been fined a whopping €280.5 Million Euro's for breaking an antitrust ruling from 2004. Microsoft faces further fines of up to €3 Million Euros per day if it does not comply from the 31st July.
The fine was based on the 2004 ruling, which ordered Microsoft to share complete interoperability information with rival companies that develop workgroup server operating systems.
Extreme Tech has the full story, and ZDNet has an interview with Neelie Kroes (the EU commissioner responsible for the fines).
