I'm using Windows XP and can't download a spreadsheet. Apparently I need to look at Microsoft Excel but the page I was taken had so much information I about what to buy I got very confused. Is there somewhere I can download this without all the marketing gobbledegook? Thanks so much.

From what I seen there's the Microsoft download store..... however you will pay an excess amount for it from there.
You'd be better off to go to a computer store and buying it from there.

You also get the media incase you need to re-install at a later date :p

If you just need to view (and not edit/create) excel files, then the viewer is free to use:

If you want to edit the excel file for free, then try Open Office:

If you want to buy Excel, then it's £199 direct from Microsoft... however I'm sure it will be much cheaper if you buy the whole office package from another retailer.
