Hi All,
My name is Michael, I hope you are all well.
I have an excel "database sheet" which follows the following pattern
A - 1 - #
A - 2 - #
A - 3 - #
B - 1 - #
B - 2 - #
B - 3 - #
And so on. In this example, #=varying number. A/B/1/2/3 are repetitive data strings.
In a separate sheet, I have a data validation drop down field which will allow the user to first select A or B, then in a second data validation field, they may choose 1, 2 or 3.
My aim from this, is to "vlookup" (or some other command) both sets of data to find a matching '#' in the "database sheet". So if the user selects A and then 3, they will output the # in row C.
Hope this makes sense and I hope somebody can help.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Michael
