I am using a Microsoft Ergonomic desk set 7000 and have the following
annoying problem. First I must say the keyboard works fine the mouse
seems to have a delay or intermittent scrolling. I will be scrolling
down a Internet web page and the scrolling will stop for a few turns of
the scroll wheel. The batteries are new and the mouse is no farther than
2 feet from the receiver which is plugged into the back of my computer.
The mouse and keyboard are in a non metallic keyboard draw. Any ideas
would be helpful.

I don't wish to appear flippant or crass, but a switch to bluetooth
would solve these problems.

I agree, but the investment has already been made. I also never had this
problem with my Deskset 6000, so i expected the same form the Ergonamic
deskset 7000. A few minutes ago I moved the transmitter to the USB hub
which is closer.

Try using the mouse on the other side (end) of keyboard to see if problem
persists. If it goes away, you may need to experiment with various relative
positions. HTH, s

I have tried that as well as adding an extension wire to the USB
receiver. The receiver was within 6" from the mouse. Still has the
delay. I am experimenting with the settings within the mouse control
center, to see if that makes a difference.
