Hello All!

This morning I installed the latest four XP updates without any real
problems except that one of them chose to put an icon or shortcut for
Outlook on my desktop. Since I've already got a button for Outlook on my
Office Toolbar, I will delete it. Not a big thing but why does MS have
to do dumb things like that? I can see why they like forums that don't
give you a way to criticize.

You seem to be using an older version of Microsoft Office. Microsoft
Office 2003 or later does not offer the Office Toolbar module. An the
Office Toolbar option is not automatically installed on the 'standard'
Office install.

What makes you say that? All you have to do is type in your criticism, just
like you do here.

And which forum would you suggest I use? I can't see anything obvious
for comments on XP updates.

Nice of you to tell me but that's essentially what I did. However, I got
this reply

You will find support for Outlook in these forums, Jim:
http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/officeoutlook
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (IE, Mail, Security, Windows & Update
Services) since 2002 ~ Disclaimer: MS MVPs neither represent nor work
for Microsoft

It's good to know but that was not by any means obvious. Anyway, it was
the Update process that I wished to comment on not Outlook itself.

It's called being helpful for the user. It takes less time to delete the unwanted
shortcut than it does for you to type the above post and whinge to the world.
You clearly have mental issues.

Delete the Icon you don't like. Get a life and get on with it.
