Hello,

I had installed my public DNS with W2K server and I want to use serial
number like YYYMMDDnn (YYYY=year, MM=month, DD=day, nn=revision number) when
I make a modification in a zone. Is it possible, and how can I do this ?

Thanks.

Just manually edit the serial on the SOA tab on the zone properties.

You will have to manually edit the serial number in the SOA. If the zone allows dynamic updates though, each time an update is
received, the serial number will change.

Thank you,
