I would like to run Microsoft DNS on a Windows 2000 member server but
the group that controls Active Directory does not want us to run DNS
on our member server. Can anyone give any reasons what problems a W2K
member server running DNS could cause in a W2K AD Domain?

Thanks

Colin

You won't have the option for AD Integrated zones and Secure Updates Only
(only avail on a DC), which can be a security issue.
