When ever I am trying to connect for MS Communities this error message is
coming:

Unable to connect to the server

Configuration:

Account : Microsoft Communities
Server: msnews.microsoft.com
Protocol: NNTP
Port : 119
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 800ccc0e

Can any body help me to resolve this?

Windows Firewall is definitely compatible.
The only other suggestion I have is to do a trial uninstall of your
antivirus program, to see if that helps.

What I do not understand is....
I have the same problem. 800ccc0e code fault. I hav received my news
articles for at least 2 years with this configuration of windows. Now it
suddenly stopped. I've changed nothing. Maybe Norton Internet Security Online
has made something behind my back without telling me. But it sounds strange
that Windows and Norton do not work together anymore. Yours Rody

Norton security products are among the top three troublemakers for
Windows Mail. Symptoms often don't surface until several months have
gone by, or until an update occurs.
First, be sure to disable its email scanning, for the reason explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

Disabling the Norton program is often insufficient. If so, do a trial uninstall,
followed by using their debris removal tool:

Instead of uninstalling your antivirus, another option is to upgrade to
Windows Live Mail, which is more resistant to the adverse effects of overly
intrusive antivirus products: http://download.live.com/wlmail
