Re: www.updatesearches.com .... It seems that all of
Microsoft cannot beat www.updatesearches.com that totally
and completely is immune to removal by Microsoft!
I run the Beta 1 over and over, it says it has removed and
I can go immediatelly to Scan after Scan and each time
Microsoft anti-spyware says it is gone and everytime it is
STILL THERE ... Where www.comcast.net is supposed to be is
www.updatesearches.com. Redirects 100% with
immunity!!!!!!!!! No way to get rid of! ANY suggestions?

Hi Larry,

Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup;
Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files* C:\Documents
and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ;
Run the scan while in safe mode;
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recognize.

The same thing happens to me. It says it's removed by the
new scan reveals it's still there in the registry files.
Why won't it clean this spyware???

Same thing here...plus the smitfraud trojan screen at log
on. I'll feel like an ass for not figuring this out, but
how does one safe mode start XP?...cant find the menu to
select it and have tried F8 at start....hmmmmm...

Hi Steve,

Getting to hit F8 for Safe Mode at just the right moment is a matter of
timing, and peculiar to a lot of setups. If you start tapping F8 just as the
BIOS screen clears and the XP splash screen start, you'll get there.

I'll give it another go! Thanks Ron...
