Microsoft Antivirus - Beta

Could you help me figure out why my beta version of
Microsoft Antivirus continues to drop the icon in the
system tray. In the settings it is marked to show the
icon. I have reset those settings... no change. If I
uninstall and reinstall it will put it back in the tray
but drops it again in a short time. Also the alerts that
pop up when things are trying to install becomes non-
existant. I have checked and I DO have real time
protection enabled... all systems say they are working
and functional. This has happened 3 times. The only
thing else I can offer is that I also have Norton
Antivirus running. Could that be interfering? Any
suggestions. I like the spyware.... but this is
frustrating.

it's a bug--both of them--showing when told not to, and not showing
when told to.

In the "supposed to hide" situation, in my experience it does hide at
reboot. However, as soon as a scheduled scan is run, it reappears, and
stays there.
 
It is a bug. You can try an update install to see if it fixes it:

control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change,
update.
