Since installing the Beta version of Microsoft AntiSpyware
(which required me to update to Internet Explorer 6 on my
Windows 2000 machine) I cannot access attachments of e-
mails I have backed up to CD.

This is a critical problem as these attachments are
reports I have sent to clients, and must refer back to.
When I open the e-mails I am advised " OE removed access
to the following unsafe attachments in your mail" followed
by the name of the attachment/s.

How can I disable whatever is denying me access to my e-
mail attachments?

This is a default security setting in OE 6. To remove this, go to: TOOLS,
OPTIONS, SECURITY. Remove check mark next to fourth item down, "Do not
allow attachments to be saved or opened..."

In OE go to Tools | Options | Security and uncheck "Do not allow attachments
to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus".

I remember there is another way using the explorer: "Tools/Folder
options_File-Types(Advanced button)" for you document type. If you uncheck
"confirm after download" it's become free in OE. Dont know if it's a best
way than allowing anything in OE.
