I downloaded and installed this program after a computer friend recommened it
very highly and yesterday it worked really well yet today when I try to open
it , it says it can't detect a net connection(even though the net was
connected as just checked my email) and when it did finally open , after
having to close it using task manager and rebooting pc it still said it
couldn't detect a net connection even though it was connected and when I
tried to get it to check for updates it froze on contacting server and greyed
out the close option and totally froze.

It doesn't seem to have affected any other programs and says my PC is
spyware free and should be as only reformatted it (due to errors) last week,
has anybody any ideas as to why after working fine for a day it suddenly
decides to hang badly and will only close using task manager?

Have uninstalled it as don't need this kind of aggro from something that is
supposed to be near the top of the antispyware programs.

I also have problems with Antispyware "Hang". It will start out scaning
really good and towards the end it just stops responding and I can not get
any information or even 'help' to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
but still have same problem.

I spoke to a friend who builds computers and is a technical support engineer
and he advised me to uninstall it and put Spybot Search and Destroy on
instead as it seems when they're beta versions they can have a lot of
glitches and even though they need to be tested it's not very good when it
causes your computer to have problems. I'm glad I took mine off as even
though I trust Microsoft products when I installed mine it turned the
automatic updates on(which I usually turn off as it has caused my computer
serious problems in the past) and I didn't notice that they had been turned
back on during the genuine windows verification process and 6 updates were
downloaded and installed automatically and after they were installed my
computer kept constantly resetting itself and in the end it crashed and so
I'm not sure if it was the anti spyware problem that caused it or the
critical security automatic updates that were installed as I tried removing
the ones I could and it still wouldn't stabilise so have thanks to this had
to totally reformat my computer and touch wood has been perfectly stable
since then so my advice to you is uninstall it and use Spybot Search and
Destroy as it's a lot better.

Good luck with your computer and I will certainly look into checking this
program out when it's a fully tested program as I've read and heard so many
other people saying about the serious problems they've experienced since
installing it that am glad as I'm not all that computer literate I have a
very computer literate friend who can help me out in times of trouble.
