I have installed (beta 1) and ran the system scan and
everything seems to work ok, except the autoUpdater
cannot find a internet connection. I cannot find anywhere
in the app. to setup internet connections. BUG?

Be sure that your web browser (Internet Explorer) is on
line. Open IE, click File and ensure that Work Off line is
not checked.

Yes I am online, have even tried update while IE
connected to web. Also uninstalled and reinstalled
application.(NO effect). dhayman

Do you have a firewall? If so you must authorize the
following programs to use the internet:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasSWUpdater
C:\Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\GIANTAntiSpywareMain
C:\Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\GIANTAntiSpywareUpdater

Other Microsoft AntiSpyware programs that may access the
internet:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasDtServ
C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasInstallHelper
C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasServAlert

Are you still seeing this issue? Microsoft Antispyware uses IE's proxy
settings. If you are behind a proxy, setting these to automatically detect
can help. The error message can also be caused by server-end issues, in
which case simply trying again at another time can help.
