microsoft antispyware beta

Hello,

I have uninstall and reinstall this microsoft antispyware beta program a
number of times and still this program will not update, the message is
always: there is no connection and the program updater is not working and I
am connected to the Internet using a cable modem.

I suspect that the issue is your firewall. There's info in the help for
Microsoft Antispyware beta1 about which executables need to be allowed
through the firewall--and I would expect the firewall to also log
information about what it is preventing getting access to the Internet.

Thanks, Plun--the only two-way firewall's I've worked with on this autoallow
it, or (ISA server-2000) don't deal with individual apps at all--just
protocols.
