I installed this program tonight after re-installing XP instead of Spybot S&D
that I nomrally use. What a mistake! Every 5 or 6 seconds, and I am not
exagerating, it pop's up with a message telling me that my internet Explorer
security setting have been changed do I want to allow or block. I click
block and make sure the "Remember my Anser" box is ticked. Five seconds
later: Your Internet Security Zones have changed do you want to block.

Ive un-installed it. Driving me absolutley barking mad.

Does anyone know how to stop it doing it, because apart form that going on
constantly, it looked a lot better than any other program's Ive used and I
like the idea of the community.

If no-one else is getting this, could someone at MS please look into it?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy;
The problem involves a conflict bug between MSAS and the immunize feature of
S&D. That program added restricted "bad" sites to IE, and MSAS's realtime
protection missinterprets the action. The workaround is not to Block but to
Allow. assuming you want to keep those sites restricted. This is documented
here:

Hi Dave, thanks for replying. Spybot S&D isnt on my system. I installed
Anti-Spyware after formatting my drive and re-installing Windows XP, so there
isnt even anything on there to say that Spybot used to be there!
Ive re-installed Anti_spyware and Ive just noticed that while the icon sits
happily in the tray without saying anything at all, when I double click the
icon in the tray to open the program, for example, to run a scan it nags me
every few seconds about this IE change. The exact message is: "Microsoft
AntiSpyware has detected a change to your Internet Security Zone "Internet".
This zone contains all websites you haven't placed in other zones"

I appreciate your reply telling me to just click allow, but there is
absolutley nothing in my Internet Zones (any of them) so I really dont want
to do that!

Thanks,
Andy

I think what you are seeing is a bug. Are you logged in as an
administrator? If not, you need to be.

If so, I'd make the opposite choice to the one you are making--yes, I know,
it seems counterintuitive and downright dangerous--but as you say you are
running a clean install, and are protected from nasties, so whatever is
going on is really an interaction between your install and the beta.
