I don't know what your first question means.

A new version will be released before this beta expires.

Hey Charlie!
<Whats going on with the ms antispyware?>
I dunno. You have a particular issue with it? The machines I have it on are
working fine, and the Real Time Protection has saved me a few times.

Sure. Microsoft has now announced that there will be a free consumer version
of Microsoft Antispyware, and one which has a cost associated for
managed environments.

I'm getting a message that my Antispyware has expired
effective July 31, 2005 and it won't run anymore??? I
can't find a newer version either??? What's the story
here? I like this product and want to keep using it?
Can anyone help me?
(e-mail address removed)
Thanks.

In the settings for your locale in control panel, there are scroll boxes for
short and long date format. Reset those to the very first (top) setting.

What screen are you refering to where you say there are
controls for date format? Since the antispyware program
never comes up with a window(it comes up with the
expiration notice and once that is clicked as "ok" the
spyware load window disapears...) I can't access
any "control panel" screens in the spyware program.
Please give me a little more elaboration please. Thank
you.

Sorry--didn't give enough detail.

This is a Windows Setting.

In XP, go to control panel, date, time. language, and regional settings,
then pick Regional and language options

Under standards and formats there's a scroll box which should have English
filled in--click on the customize button next to that. Then click on the
Date tab.

On the date tab, set the long and short date formats to the topmost setting.

Click OK twice to make the setting and close the dialog boxes, click x to
close the control panel. Try Microsoft Antispyware.

And I promised myself the last time I had this conversation with somebody
that I'd remember to ask that question at the beginning of the
conversation--famous last resolutions, etc.....
