So now the expiration date is set for December 31, 2005. Is the beta going
to end on this day? Are we going to be required to pay for the AntiSpyware
services in the future? Is there a more permanent version coming out soon?
We use Microsoft's services on more than a several computers here at the
workplace so it would be nice to be in the know :)

Download and install the latest refresh beta (build 701). Its expiry date is
31 July 2006.

From MS (Steve Dodson):
As we have been saying since day one, Windows Defender will be
available at no charge to licensed users of Windows.
Users who validate their Windows install through WGA will be allowed to
download the AntiSpyware beta, as well as the full standalone version of
AntiSpyware when it releases to the web.
This has not changed since Bill Gates announced this information at the RSA
conference in February.
The enterprise version of Windows Defender targeted to companies who want
to centrally manage their Windows AntiSpyware infrastructure.
The enterprise version of Windows Defender will be available for a cost
(which has not been determined yet).
