Use the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to determine how much
video memory is available. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type dxdiag, and then click OK.
3. Click the Display tab or click the Display 1 tab.
4. Note how much video memory is on the Approx. Total
Memory line, and then click Exit.

If your computer video adapter has less video memory than
the game requires, install additional video memory on your
video adapter or install a video adapter that has more
video memory. If Dxdiag.exe is reporting that your video
card has "N/A" memory, try to contact your computer
manufacturer to find out how much memory your video card
has. If your video card meets the game requirements, but
Dxdiag.exe is still reporting N/A, you must reinstall
DirectX and update your video card drivers. If the issue
continues after you reinstall DirectX and you update your
video card drivers, this may be a Microsoft Windows
problem. Contact Windows technical support to continue
troubleshooting this issue. If your computer meets the
minimum system video memory requirements, go to the next
method

I think it is affecting more than just gamers.

It's not a game that I'm wanting to put on the projector.
I want to clone my monior (what I see on the main monitor)
to what the projector is displaying on the wall. I
usually do powerpoint presentations, and never do I play
games on this laptop. I dont think that its a video
memory problem but a resolution problem. Most projectors
only support 640X480 for their resolution and winxp only
supports 800X600 and up. So the only option that I have
is to extend the monitor. (ie: when I drag the mouse to
the edge of the screen, it will continue into the other
monitor)

I NEED TO CLONE WHAT MY MONITOR VIEWS ONTO A PROJECTOR
USING WINDOWS XP? HOW IS THAT DONE?
