I have a couple users that are getting this error message when they are
trying to import excel into access "You entered an expression that has an
invalid reference to the property"

Anybody have any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks

We need a lot more info to even take a WAG.

Is it the same Excel spreadsheet or all spreadsheets?

What happens when someone else tries to import the spreadsheet?

Exactly how are they doing the import: Macro, code, manually.

And the big question: What version of Access?

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for getting back to me

It is any spreadsheet they try to import to Access. They import their
spreadsheet

manually ever time. This is only happening to 4 users in a corporate office.
I have

try reinstalling several times with no luck. If the users goes to another
computer

they are able to import the spreadsheets with no problem. It is just their
own PC

that are having the problem. This just started happening about a month ago.

They are using Access 2003 and also the computers that are able to import the

spreadsheet with no problem are using Access 2003.

Unfortunately it sounds like their machines. Sometimes reinstalling doesn't
help. I've had to wipe a computer's hard drive and completely reinstalled
everything from the OS on up to get things to work right. If those users are
due a new computer anytime soon, this might be another good reason to do so.
