Microsoft Access verify phone numbers

I am using a Microsoft Access database. I would like to verify the
phone numbers before I call them
(to make sure the numbers are still valid, ex. not disconnected)

Are there any ideas for this?

Just for the record, this is not an "Access issue" -- it's a phone
system/network issue. Perhaps there is some sort of inquiry that you can
make to the telephone company, but that would seem to me to be the "moral
equivalent" of just calling the number. I suppose it might be nice in such
a case if Access were clairvoyant, and could conjure up the information you
need, but I am sure that's beyond the scope of database software.
