I purchased Microsoft Office Access 2003(Upgrade)from PC
World and was assured that it would work on my comouter
which has Microsoft Works and Windows XP. When I try to
istall upgrade, the following message appears
"The windows installer service could not be accessed.
This can occur if you are running windows in Safe Mode or
if Windows Installer is no correctly installed"

Can you help please?

Just FYI. Read the box to be sure, but I don't think you can install the
Upgrade unless you have a licensed copy of Access on your PC. I think it
clearly states that on the box. Microsoft Works is pretty much a free (and
useless) product.

It's a "gateway" app...abuse of (by?) MS Works can lead to a subtle
disruption of brain processes and possible experimentation with Word,
Excel, and even "harder" substances.

"Microsoft Works, the app with Roots in HELL!" Mwa-ha-ha-haaaaa!!"

....Sorry, folks. It *is* Friday.

Best,

LeAnne
