Microsoft Access security

I'm curious to know if any of the new versions of Access can incorporate or
link user domain groups from the server/PC level into the Access database
security such as setting a domain group to only have read access to the
Access database. I'm currently using an older version of Access and want to
know if a newer version does it yet or if a version being released soon will
be and I can't find the information yet if this is being done.

At the same token, if there is a version that does the above, I'll also need
to know if I can read the user id automatically into the database for storage
on records when forms are filled out and/or using the user id in Access code.
I'm aiming to need a database to work over the web and I want users to enter
records from a form or web page but I need to track who entered records and
when. If a Microsoft Access version does not fulfill what I need to do, is
there any recommendations of a product that would. Please help.

You can't connect domain usernames with Access in any current version, and
such details on the next version haven't been released.

There is code at http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm that you can
use to grab their network name.
