Hi,
I am using microsft office 2000 on winxp.

I am in dire need of German fonts/dictionary/thesaurus files.

Any clues on where to obtain German language help? I would be happy just to
have fonts available to create the German Umlaute for ae, ue, oe ...

Thanks! Skye

You can use the Character Map to copy/Paste different language characters
into a document using the default fonts in MSOffice. Each of these special
characters have a shortcut key associated with them.

For instance, you can palce the following characters into a document using
the character map.
ö ë ü ä

Start/All Programs/Accessories/Character map.

Also, there are tons of special language fonts available if you use Google
to search the internet.

Much easier:

Set your keyboard to United States International
You'll have access to all the accented characters in just two keystrokes.
Just press " and the letter you want the umlaut on: ä ë Ö Ä

Freundlige Grüßen
Dengue

google for "proofing tools".
the first hit should be of interest.
as far as typing them you might want to check out the tiny freeware addition
AllChars at http://allchars.zwolnet.com.
works no matter what keyboard layout and/or language settings you have.
simply brilliant.
