I've noticed one major problem with XP. At work we use the old 2000 nt
version and on my taskbar i have a shortcut that shows me my desktop and
other icons to launch my programs fast and efficiently.

I really want to know how to set this up on xp for my home computer. esp the
show desktop button.

thanks

Right click a blank area of the Taskbar, navigate the context menu to
Toolbars, and move down and click Quick Launch. The Quick Launch bar
(including Show Desktop) should now appear on the Taskbar.

If not do the following...

1. Open Notepad
2. type: -

[ Shell ]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe, 3
[ Taskbar ]
Command=ToggleDesktop

3. Go to File, Save and in the Filename box type "Show desktop.scf"
including quotes. Save it to the Desktop then you can simply drag it
onto the Quick Launch toolbar when you're done.
