Microsof Word "Spreadsheets"

I am working with text in spreadsheet and cannot find
access to bullets and check boxes for lists I am
preparing.
I have an IBM computer and have Windows Home xp version.
Can someone help ???

If you're working in MS Word (as your subject line says) you can create
tables, but not spreadsheets. You'll need a spreadsheet application of some
sort.

Works includes a basic spreadsheet, but many people find that it's too
basic.
