I am running Windows Home XP and Internet Explorer 6.
When I visit for example:
http://disney.go.com/park/bases/playhousebase/today/flash/index.html

The flash does not work and most of the page does not load.
I reinstalled Internet Explorer and Windowa XP. Also I ran
a reg clean. But I still doesn't work. I even downloaded
Netscape to see if the web site would load and it works
fine on Netscape. However I want to go back to Internet
Explorer. Please Help!!!!!!!

I had the identical problem. I was forced to use Flash on Netscape and
there was nothing I or Macromedia were able to about it. Good luck!

SYMPTOMS
If you browse the Internet with 64-bit Internet Explorer
6.0 on a 64-bit Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, and
you view a Web page that contains a 32-bit ActiveX
control, you are prompted to install the ActiveX control.
When you attempt to install the ActiveX control, the
installation process is unsuccessful. Although the activeX
control acts like it is being installed, is not installed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because 32-bit ActiveX controls do
not work on 64-bit Internet Explorer 6.0 that has been
installed on 64-bit Windows XP-based computers.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, run the Iexplore.exe program
from the Syswow64 folder. This procedure installs the 32-
bit version of Internet Explorer into your computer.

I believe this is what is happening to you. I have
recently encountered this problem and have seriously spent
hours on the phone with MSN tech support. Today I stumbled
upon this post in a self help section of their web page.
Hpw one runs the explorer from that folder is uknown to
me. If you know how or are able to find some who can,
please forward them to me. I would appreciate it greatly.
Good luck..... -jon.
