Access is the most powerful of all the MS OFFICE programs
and the most complicated to learn to use fully.

Suggest you visit a bookstore, an answer is about 250 pages
long.

That's the abridged, "Cliff Notes" version. ;-}

I've taken several college workshops on Access, it is easy
to use if you can remember all the commands, links, queries,
reports and such.

To the OP, Access is a database that works on linking many
databases together, it is relational rather than flat-file
as simple programs are, such as used by WORKS' database.

If I remember, Access doesn't directly do mailing labels,
WORD labels uses Access database to create labels.

I think the Access for Dummies is better, covers about 10%
of what Access can do, it will get you started.

Greetings --

Actually, Access allows one to print labels quite easily, using
the Reports wizard.

Will Avery plug-in labels work with Access?

Greetings --

You don't need to install any Avery software; Access (2002 & 2003,
anyway) has the formats for the more common Avery (and several other
label manufacturers) label sizes built into the _Labels_ Wizard. (I
was mistaken; it's not in the Reports Wizard. There's a separate
Label Wizard.)

Thanks. I've been in several Access classes and that wasn't
taught. We all learn more every day. It is said that
Access is the most complicated desktop application in
Office.
