Well how does one choose a new power supply for a microATX box? Antec does
not list this form factor.

I have a noisy ps I'd like to replace, but don't know where to start.

you just shout MO POWER!!!! and throw the switch.

everything will be energized.

i believe for the microATX, the power supply recommended for pentium 4
class systems is between 220W to 240W. You could probably go as low
as 160W to 180W for a power system but you could run into problems as
it may not give you mo power when u add devices like HDs, cdr, dvd,
network cards and other sh*t.

correct me if i'm wrong someone.

Just found this nice bit at directron.com:

Micro ATX is essential the same form factor as standard ATX, only with
smaller wattage and physical size. A standard ATX power supply would work in
a Micro ATX case if the physical dimensions fit.

Now to figure out which of the small ones are quiet : /

That's the problem. SFX supplies (microATX) are electrically compatible
with ATX, but have different dimensions.

Go to the above site and find the PSU dimensions that meet your needs.

Or get an ATX case/PSU and end your dilemma.
