MicroATX motherboard in an ATX case?

Any help with the following problem would be gratefully received;

I'm installing a new motherboard in a pc with a small ATX case.
The trouble is, that the MB I've taken out appears to be of the "mini ATX"
form factor (judging on dimensions of the board, and the fact that a spare
ATX MB is too big).
I can't find a mini ATX board with the necessary requirements, but microATX
boards are plentiful.

Would the microATX board work? or can anyone suggest an alternative
solution?
This is not my main PC, so I'm working on a budget of £30-£40

Thanks,
Rod

What are your requirements? Micro ATX motherboards fit and work in ATX
cases, if that is what you mean. What else do you need?
